Biography

I am a lawyer specialised in the field of Banking and Financial Law, with a focus on Hedge Funds regulation and Derivatives. I practiced the law in a number of jurisdictions across Asia, Europe and North-America which allowed me to take up the challenge of working with various legal systems, clients, cultures and languages.

Practice

A Member of the Paris Bar and Luxembourg Bar, I am also admitted to practice in England & Wales. I focus on Investment Funds, Corporate Finance, and Derivatives. I assist clients doing business in the Asia-Pacific Region, especially in Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China and Japan.

I formerly practiced in house in the Hedge Funds team of a prominent asset management company in Paris before establishing my career in Hong Kong were I worked in private practice for about four years.

Although I currently live in Luxembourg, I keep travelling to Asia on a regular basis.

Professional Training and Academic Activities

I pursue training and academic activities alongside with my professional practice of the law. I run advanced seminars on Hedge Funds and Financial Derivatives for banking industry professionals and at ERAGE, the French Bar School attached to the Law Society. I also lecture at various European universities and schools.

I regularly act as a moderator and speaker at business conferences in Europe and Asia.

Education

I hold a LL.M in Banking and Financial Law (University of Strasbourg, 1st class honours) and a degree in Asian studies from the Imperial University of Kyushu in Japan.

Publications

I have authored a number of articles on financial law that have been published in LexisNexis, Hong Kong Lawyer, Bulletin Joly Bourse and Islamic Finance News.

    • Hi. First, sorry for the late reply. I give an introductory lecture on the ISDA to LLM students and at the French Law Society, I also run in-depth professional seminars on the ISDA. Of course there are very good books available about the ISDA, and the ISDA itself publishes great booklets and users’ manuals.
